"Religious" Civilization Cycles Point to a Long Period of Painful Decline For White "Judeo-Christian" Civilization
We can roughly identify four civilizations with very distinct religions that commanded greatly increased influence over the known world (the Old World, Africa and Eurasia, prior to the conquest of Americas) over a period ranging from 400-700 years.

1. The "pagan" religion and Greco-Roman civilization, 500 B.C.-200 A.D., political and cultural influence.
2. The Buddhist and Hindu civilization, 200-700 A.D., mostly religious and cultural influence over 2/3rd of Asian population.
3. Islamic civilization, 700-1350 A.D., religious, political and cultural influence. Lot of knowledge about trading, geography (trading routes) and historiography was transmitted to Europe, mostly via Italian trading states. The last peak in the world economic system, or the Longer wave, ended with the Black Plague and at that time the world trade was dominated by Muslims. In the largest city in the world of the time, the first city in history with a population of million, Hangchow, one of the six "cities" (divisions), the "third city" consisted of only Muslims, mostly traders! The "second city" thru "Jews gate" had Armenians, Christians, Hindus, Jews, Zoroastrians, etc., all combined together.
4. European Judeo-Christian civilization, 1400-2000 A.D., political, economic and cultural influence. Because of its focus on extreme materialism it is far more Judaic than Christian in its character.

The great mystery in the above is why the civilization with the greatest potential for the past 2500 years to dominate the world —the Chinese civilization—didn't. Rather than trying to list all the reasons for why not, it seems very clear to me is that the Confucius-Daoist civilization of China, in particular, and East Asia, in general, is highly likely to dominate the world for centuries to come. This would necessitate a painful decline for the Judeo-Christian civilization where religion is clearly in decline.

Beliefs, many rooted in religions, matter! Only ignoramuses down play the positive role that religions have played in civilized societies. Some of them believe that religions have been the main causes of problems thru history. It is obvious as to how much history these people really know and understand. Religions have been the lowest cost method of creating a relatively harmonious society. Like all competitions the religious competitions could be bloody.

As they say, every dog has its day and America's day is nearing sunset. It was fabulous for most Americans while it lasted. The forced downgrading of the lifestyle is going to be painful. What is going to be even more painful is serious decline in safety of life, liberty and property. The "American dream" is going to turn into a nightmare for increasing numbers of Americans.
