Personally, I am more inclined to expect a French revolution/civil war-like scenario in US, whereas China and Europe will stay relatively peaceful (but not without trouble), because they experienced civil wars only 50 years back.

Last civil war in USA (and India) happened 150 years back and bad memories are all gone !!

Let me first tackle India. India as people have known for the past 130+ years, as a "unified country," would cease to exist in 2030. It will disintegrate. You can take that to the vault. 10M deaths are a low estimate.

The US will have civil unrest that will eclipse the Civil War in terms of death and destruction. The CROOKS that lord over Obama and the American People are worse than anything that the world has seen for centuries. American People are angry and dumbfounded as to what to do. But, for how long? When the most politically suppressed people on the planet today, next to Germans—American born white Christian men—go on a rampage, what out. They are temporarily doped by politically correct propaganda, but they are angry and armed. American economic ruling elite, not unlike the Nazis, is overconfident and can't think logically. They are going to be destroyed no matter what else happens. Be Safe!

Re: Coming American Civil War That Will Eclipse THE Civil War

Sword: "I thought we were FAR too obese, lazy, and stupid (brainwashed dopes) to even THINK about fighting a civil war."

You got most of it right but the beauty of a dope is that someone else does the thinking for him and he just has to follow whichever propagandist he has faith in. It doesn't take much to lead dopes, but you would have several gangs of dopes led by different "leaders." What would be needed is enough dissatisfied dopes with the government controlled by Crooks. We would hit the trigger point only once there is no denying by expert economists that the US has been in depression for years (U6, all inclusive unemployment rate, hitting 25-30%). Only the collapse of the current system would give people some hope. In this regard, election of an American Hitler (political dictatorship) is a reasonable probability.

" Not to mention, who's going to pay for all the guns and ammo?  There might be another world war over the next few decades, but no chance of an American civil war."

It will not be war between professional armies but widespread civil unrest and most of the fighting and killing would be between gangs of ordinary people. Having a diverse ethnic population is very conducive to this sort of thing. Yes, military would be called to suppress the riots, looting, killing, etc. Temporary, or permanent (for several years), military dictatorship is another probable outcome. The continually worsening American system has come to the end of the road and corrupt politicians controlled by the Crooks cannot reform it.

There has never been a bubble of this scale, Jas. China makes the US, UK, and Japan look like laughable amateurs.

No denying the fact that the Chinese economy is in the grips of a gigantic bubble (Chinese are more addicted to gambling than Europeans) in commodities, real estate and stocks. When the Chinese BUBBLE bursts there would be nothing to prevent the global Greater Depression. The US-led depression has only been softened by the huge Chinese stimulus but when the Chinese BUBBLE bursts the rug would be pulled from under the globally linked economies.

Globalization of risk and contagion!

What would be the aftermath of the global Greater Depression? China, some time between 2025-35, would be in a similar position as the US was in 1950 with close to 20% share of the world trade. China overtook Japan (former #3), then Germany (former #2) and during the coming years would overtake the US as the #1 exporter in the world.

For that you need an American style two party democracy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one has been better at eating "people's wealth" than "corrupt institutions" in America led by crooked bankers and financiers supported by political gangsters like Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and Chuck Schumer.

The world, including China, is full of democracy's blind faithful. Democracy appeals to the least politically developed minds.

Why Rush Limbaugh Is a Better Economist Than Paul Krooksman + Sell Buffett Short!

Few days ago Paul Krooksman, a proponent of massive government economic manipulation along with his followers among rogue economists, publicly declared that he has given up on Obama. Rush Limbaugh gave up on Obama even before he was nominated. Krooksman is a typical born-and-bred American voting dope who fell for Obama’s obvious lie of Change. I concluded that Obama was a No Change candidate also before he was nominated. Krooksman thought that Obama would enact his policies, not popular with the vast majority of Americans, without understanding the politics. At least Limbaugh is not that stupid. Being better than Krooksman is not high praise for Mr. Limbaugh as an economist.

Krooksman is no ordinary born-and-bred American dope. He was raised in the greater NYC culture of deception, fraud and manipulation, the same culture that breeds crooked bankers and financiers, deception and manipulation being their trick of the trade. In addition, he is an egomaniac in the ranks of Bernanke, Greenspan and Limbaugh. In contrast, Paul Volcker, a rare born-and-bred American who is not a dope, was a decent man and a good public servant who was sacked by Reagan. Academia in the Greater NYC area—Columbia, Princeton, Yale, etc.—is dominated by economic and political manipulators. For whose benefit could these people, as Bernanke and Greenspan have already proven, manipulate the economy?! It is impossible to manipulate the economy in the interests of the majority! Krooksman and his followers never points out in detail who all are going to be hurt by, or who will pay for, the policies that he and his followers propose. They keep building bad models.

Krooksman and Limbaugh have four things in common—they both are Baby Doomers, born-and bred American dopes, egomaniacs and propagandists. Propagandists on the left and on the right do a thorough job of breeding Americans into lifelong dopes. Nothing is left to chance. Americans are screwed and the future of the American economy is bleak. After being screwed by Reagan-Greenspan-Bush-Bernanke gang, for 20 of the 28 years before Obama, they are now being screwed by Clinton-Obama-Summers gang (many ex-Clintonites in the gang). Sexual revolution does mean wanting to get screwed all the time. It is an addiction for which there is no cure. It will end with the end of the current econo-political system, most likely before 2030. Death relieves misery!

Investment theme: Sell America short! Sell born-and-bred American dope Warren Buffett short!! (Two financial broadcasters from Honk Kong commented that Buffett is more on financial TV then they are; the guy wants attention all the time and has four young gals chasing him for reports more than any other businessman in America, maybe in the world. If he had any sense he would have retired in 1997. I am thankful that he hhas made shorting his Scam easy for me).

End Game For Democracies: Italian Govt. Considering Law to Throw 18+ years Old Out of Parents’ Home!

Jas,

Here's an article on the move by the Italian Government to force young adults out of their parents' homes.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/minister-calls-for-law-to-force-i\talys-big-babies-to-grow-up-1871992.html

It's Orwellian. A shamefully veiled attempt to force more people into debt servitude. And get this. The proposal comes from Berlusconi's Minister of "Innovation". Good grief, after all the misery caused by Wall Street's financial "innovation" you'd think they would at least give the messenger a less obvious title. I'm thinking Minister of Debt reduction would have been better. ;)

The debt peddling is completely out of hand. It reeks of desperation.

Thanks. The Age of Propaganda begun in the US under Freud's nephew Bernays has engulfed the world. Democracies excel at Pushing Debt on the population. We are witnessing the end game for democracies. Is Greece going to be the first?

Comments on articles from
I take serious offense at equating Obama to Herbert Hoover, an honorable man and a builder (he was a great engineer-geologist and quite successful). On the other hand, Obama has been a propagandist all his life.

Economic policy debate in America is a theater. Here we have two rogue economists, Mark Thoma and Brad DeLong, criticizing a compromised politician, something Americans take for granted these days, who is scared now and must contain spending if he were to have any chance at reelection. There is a clear voting majority in America, in both parties, that wants debt to be controlled and if Obama does not listen to them then his party and he would be finished.

We have had a succession of dishonest and dishonorable men—Greenspan, Clinton, GW Bush, Bernanke and Obama—in top jobs who have served the crooked bankers at the expense of the vast majority of Americans over the past 25 years. The three Republicans in this group qualify as evildoers because of their role in pushing debt on households (by allowing reckless and bad mortgages to continue despite hundreds of warnings) via the Housing Bubble in order to hold on to power. The Housing Bubble became a necessity in 2002 for Greenspan and GW Bush to hold on to power and the Crisis that took place during 2008-09 was fully scripted and the rogue economists were either silent or in support to make the economy grow at all costs. We have at least two rogue economists in the White House, Larry Summers and Jared Bernstein.

Aren’t Americans lucky to have rogue economists in addition to corrupt politicians in policymaking positions? There is absolutely no hope for a better America. Only ignorant and weak human beings with slave mentality prefer to be ruled by dishonest and dishonorable men, qualities necessary to succeed in the propaganda battle!, that the modern democracies bring to power. The same applies to economists who want to succeed in the propaganda battle. That is why we have more and more rogue economists in and out of academia. Free market in action! Honesty would not get you very far in economics and politics in America.
