In that case, we can safely conclude that the US does not have capitalism and India, the most uncompetitive sports nation on the planet, must have something that is opposite of capitalism. Could it be that popular democracy, a 50-year old phenomenon, builds inferior minds and bodies? Maybe, people need be careful about the labels. Popular democracy and capitalism are a deadly combination and India and the US would prove that once and for all.

"European Open" Tennis In New York City
An American commentator broadcasting from the U.S. Open tennis tournament couldn't resist calling it European Open because of the near-complete domination by the Europeans and abysmal performance by Americans, especially, men.
Spain is the #1 soccer nation and #1 tennis nation in the world, two sports that have the most money at stake and are the most popular team and individual sports, respectively. Even in basketball, where the US enjoys an overwhelming population advantage over Spain the Spaniards gave Americans a tough match in the last Olympics. If it were white Americans against white Spaniards Spain would have won. So, we have a nation with 1/8th of the population with which America cannot compete in some of the most popular and highest paying sports. If we look at the last Winter and Summer Olympics, Europeans performed far better than Americans. What is wrong?
The Sin Of Sloth
"Medieval theologian Thomas Aquinas said Sloth is "sluggishness of the mind which neglects to begin good... [it] is evil in its effect, if it so oppresses man as to draw him away entirely from good deeds.""
Even as the US population keeps increasing the population of Americans with the competitive spirit is declining (population of slobs, or sloth, is increasing rapidly). This is part and parcel of the general decline of Americans—economic, physical, intellectual and moral decline, the last being the most important cause of America's continuing problems that have no solution until the all-encompassing rot runs its course over the net several decades. The two spirits that have taken over America are the spirit of fraud among the economic elite, with their base in New York City, and the spirit of blame and manipulation among the general population. Americans are so thoroughly brainwashed that they directly, or indirectly, support political gangsters and financial fraudsters. Therefore, the real problem lies with the American population. One thing you can count on an American is the blame game. He, or she, is busy finding the "others," including those outside America that are the cause America's problems. That is what happens in a culture of decline that is now firmly rooted in America far more than in Europe. Only those who are blind to the reality on the ground, i.e., reality of Americans, could be optimistic about America's future. America has no future, only the past!
