CA Looking For Money and Expertise In East Asia to Build High Speed Train Network
It seems that China can build it the cheapest and fastest. The price tag is $43B. Governator is touring China, Japan and Korea looking for a deal to build and finance. The report, on Bloomberg, said that it would take 3 hours from L.A. to S.F. Ten days ago we took Amtrak from L.A. to Seattle just for fun. It took ten hours from L.A. to San Jose and 11 hours to Oakland. The total train trip was 34.5 hours while the flight back was 2.5 hours. The views from the lounge in the train with large glass windows were spectacular. That was the main reason for taking the train. I would love to ride the high speed train if it ever gets built.
