An American does not seek the truth; he seeks utility. -- Jas Jain, 1989.

Here are some excerpts from What Is Philosophy? by José Ortega y Gasset. "José Ortega y Gasset (9 May 1883 – 18 October 1955) was a Spanish liberal philosopher working at the beginning of the 20th century while Spain oscillated between monarchy, republicanism and dictatorship." Please take note of the fact that he was writing this 60-70 years ago after Spain went thru La Revolución. (Pardon my Spanish).

"Ours is such a time and in superlative degree. Although the change was being prepared subterraneously, it broke through the surface so suddenly, and with such speed, that within few it transformed the entire aspect of life. For many, many years I kept prophesying this imminent and total transformation. It was in vain. I reaped only censure; my prophecy was attributed to an itch for novelty. Not until events in all their crude reality arrived were the malicious tongues silenced. Yet here it is, all about us, a new life…

"But no, it is not here yet. The change is going to be far more radical than what we are now seeing, and it will penetrate so far down through the various deep strata of human life that, taught by past experience, I am not disposed to tell you all that I foresee. It would be useless, it would frighten you without convincing you, and it would frighten you for the reason that it would not be understood, or better, it would be badly understood."

I cannot overemphasize the fact that if you wish to get an insight into America's future you must read detailed history of Europe, most particularly that of Germany, for the period 1750-1913. And America's future is likely to be similar to what followed for the next 32 years!!! The havoc that was wrecked on Europe during 1914-1945 is coming to America, but not by wars from foreigners. It would be more like Greater Civil War, or Civil War II. I don't know the precise year as to when, but sooner than you wish (because crooks and morons are in-charge). American econo-political system is a sitting duck. No, it is an ostrich.
